Worked example: a business subscription

Illustrative assumptions, not a forecast for your business: monthly price AED 300, variable cost AED 100 per customer, monthly fixed costs AED 6,000. Contribution margin = 300 − 100 = AED 200. Break-even = 6,000 ÷ 200 = 30 customers. At 20 customers the result is −AED 2,000; at 40 it is +AED 2,000, before taxes and omitted costs. Validate customer acquisition costs, retention and collection before relying on the model.
